oh man.. I just searched him on wikipedia and he's dead... I thought he was a new artist.. who sounded like he was from fifty years ago... but no.. he actually is from fifty years ago.. kinda.. grr :( :(

yeah, he died in 1997, he was only 30 yrs old. very sad. he would have been 40 this year, it's weird to think about. he came out with "grace" around 1994, so he was only around a few years, but those few made a huge impact. you should listen to his few albums, and he has a few dvds and videos too, he's definitely worth getting into. he's one of the best vocalists i've ever heard. i guess i could end up writing a novel here, so i'd better stop now! haha

all i really know about them is that if the pencil says a number and then "H", that means it's a harder lead, so it's a lighter lead. the higher the number, the lighter. if it says a number and then "B", then it's a softer lead, so the higher the number, the darker the lead. 8B is the darkest lead i have. anyway, you probably already knew that, but that's all i know about it.

oh, and i use the lighter ones to start sketching with, then i get darker and darker as i layer it.
